Chronic Pain Physical Therapy
It makes so much sense that you feel exhausted.
You’ve been living with chronic or persistent pain and have tried traditional pain care like PT, chiropractic, massage, acupuncture, and/or pain specialists only to feel like your symptoms have been dismissed or misunderstood.
Here’s what you need to know…
Your pain is real and it’s complex.
You are not alone and you are not broken.
Pain is influenced by more than your tissues, movement patterns, or posture. Your nervous system, sleep, stress levels, lifestyle, and pace of life all shape your pain experience.
That’s why I take a holistic, trauma-informed, mind-body approach to chronic pain physical therapy.
Together, we’ll support your body and nervous system by integrating:
Pain science education
Mindfulness practices and nervous system regulation
Well-being coaching to support stress, sleep, nutrition, hydration, and physical activity
Gentle movement practice, pacing, and a gradual return to activity
Your relationship to your pain can change - from fear and frustration to curiosity and compassion. This shift can help you re-engage in your life, relationships, and work in ways that are fulfilling and meaningful for you.
Chronic neck and back pain
Chronic muscle pain or tenderness
Chronic joint pain or instability
Persistent pain after an injury or surgery
Unpredictable pain or flare-ups
Pain that moves around

Chronic Pain PT
-
My work is rooted in orthopedic physical therapy, but my approach is shaped by the understanding that pain and healing are not just physical, they’re also shaped by our nervous system, emotions, stress, and lived experience.
I draw on training in coaching, nervous system regulation, trauma-informed care, and pain science to offer support that treats the whole person.
I believe the highest care is delivered in a one-on-one setting, so you’ll see me for each treatment and will never be passed off to an aide or tech throughout the course of your care.
All treatments take place in a private treatment studio.

With chronic pain PT we’ll spend more time understanding how your pain is showing up for you and the impacts of your lifestyle and nervous system on your pain and flare-ups.
When you’ve been dealing with chronic pain, the pain itself can become a stressor. Together, we’ll explore ways to understand pain so pain feels less scary or overwhelming. Often, you shift from “what went wrong?” to “what’s my pain trying to communicate to me?”
-
A session might include talking about how pain works, re-building trust and connection with your body through mindfulness and nervous system regulation practice, re-introducing movement at a pace that feels right for your body, and hands-on treatments like massage, joint mobilizations, or cupping therapy.
-
When you’ve tried so many treatments and are still in pain, it’s easy to feel like nothing will work.
Together, we’ll spend time exploring what you’ve already tried and where we can take a different approach.
We’ll look at when your pain tends to show up and how your life and nervous system influence your pain.
We’ll talk about how pain works, so it feels less scary and confusing, incorporate mindfulness practices, and you’ll learn how to balance activity and rest so you don’t end up in boom-bust cycles where you do too much and then crash.
-
Absolutely! We don’t need a clear diagnosis to help you start feeling better.
We can look at how your pain shows up, what makes it better or worse, and how it’s affecting your life and well-being.
-
Your fear of movement making your pain worse is so understandable.
My approach is to gradually introduce movement. We’ll start with exploring what movement patterns and activities you feel safe doing, then slowly re-introduce movements you’ve been unsure about. We won’t rush into anything and will always honor when you or your body says “nope, this movement is not for me right now.” This approach is especially helpful if you’ve felt stuck in fear of movement or worry about making your pain worse.
-
Yes! All of these conditions benefit from understanding how pain works, mindfulness and nervous system regulation practices, re-introduction of activity while avoiding boom-bust cycles, self massage, and hands-on therapies
-
This is really based on the individual, but for folks who are open to exploring new ways of addressing chronic pain and are wanting a holistic approach to their care, we can often see progress in 3-6 visits.
Now, this does not mean your pain will go away completely in that timeframe, but you might notice that pain feels less overwhelming or you’re able to do more with less fear.
